Next Level Basketball:
(Boys & Girls 3rd thru 8th grade)
Next Level basketball clinic is formatted so each child is evaluated on different core aspects of the game prior to the session beginning. Throughout the session players will be re-evaluated periodically in order to obtain each child’s progress. At the end of the session, each player will be given a progress report including coach’s comments and recommendations as well as a certificate of completion.
Each class will start with a 5 min warm up (with a basketball) followed by 15min of plyo-metric stations which build player’s quickness, strength, endurance, and stamina. The remainder of the class is spent on a specific aspect of the game i.e. shooting, ball handling, passing, boxing out, defense, moving without the ball, help side defense, post moves, and much more. If time permits the class may conclude with a full court scrimmage which will allow each player to obtain game time scenarios where they can utilize the skills learned during the course of the clinic.
In-House League:
(Boys & Girls 3rd thru 6th grade)
This program is designed for the player who wants to play on a town recreational team or traveling team and needs a better understanding of team orientated basketball. The first 20 kids who sign up will be placed on the roster and then evaluated by our Next Level coaches who will then draft two teams of equal skill level. Each team will then practice for about 30mins with their team coach. During this practice, players will be taught “TEAM” basketball as opposed to individual basketball. They will cover different types of defenses, offenses, press and press breakers, inbound plays, defense rotations, and offensive spacing. Upon completion of their practice, they will then play a 30 min (two 15min halves) game.
Guards and Post Players:
(Boys & Girls 3rd thru 8th grade)
All Players will be split into two categories: Guards and Post Players
Guards: will emphasize on perimeter shooting, ball handling, shooting off screens, moving without the ball, passing, and playing man to man defense and much more.
Post Players: will emphasize on shooting from the paint, post moves, rebounding, boxing out, sealing the defender, setting screens moving without the ball and much more.
Iron man and 3D Work Out:
(Boys & Girls High School preseason workout)
Both programs are the same except one is for an hour during the week and the other 2 hours on Saturday. This program is designed to get returning athletes back into shape or help the new athlete make his or her team. Half the class is dedicated to strength and basketball conditioning and the other half will be doing the same except through basketball drills. This program is not recommend for anyone who does not want an edge at tryouts because it is very challenging and demanding. Our coaches know what it takes to make it through tryouts and doubles and triple practices, so it is our job to prepare you. “ Are you up for the Challenge”
