Jay Owimrin
(Director/Owner)


Coach Jay graduated from Emerson JR. SR. High School (Bergen County) in 1994. He earned Varsity letters in three sports; Basketball, Football and Baseball. Involvement in sports was always his focal point growing up. Upon graduating he joined the United States Army stationed in Hawaii. With in two years, he was promoted to Sergeant and became an Infantry Squad Leader. He was in charge of conducting all company and battalion Physical Fitness exams for the army. While in Hawaii, Jay started a program called “No Excuses”- a sports program that allowed children whose fathers or mothers who were deployed on long training missions- to get out the house and participate in variety of fun sports. After leaving the Army in 2000, Jay found a passion for working with kids and being part of the early development stages of their sports future. He took a coaching position at Hoop Zone Basketball Complex in Englewood, NJ and within 6 months found himself as the Facility Director. He then was placed at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Tenafly by Hoop Zone as the Director of that site. In 2006, he moved on to become part of the opening of a state of the art facility built by Jim Burt of the NY Giants in Waldwick, NJ called Super Dome Sports. There he was the Director of all Youth activities along with Special Events Coordinator. In 2008, he then moved on to be part of the opening of City Sports on 4 in Bergen County as the Director of all Operations. After spending a year at City Sports, a great opportunity came along for him to start his own business in Morganville N.J. Now All Star Sports 4 Kids is his home and he plans on bringing all of his prior experience to Morganville and sharing it with its youth.
